Take a glimpse of Land of 1000 Smiles
(Press 480p for high definition)
This beautiful yoga vacation will allow you to retreat to that ‘quiet space within’ from where you can create ‘who you want to be’ and attract ‘what you want to have.’
At the same time appreciate what India refers to as ‘God’s own Country’. Experience the majesty and warmth that emanates from this richly designed tapestry known as Kerala and witness the thousand smiles that radiate from its wonderful people, the Keralites.
Kerala is in Southern India forming part of the south-western coast. Kerala is also called Malanadu, or ‘country with hills’. Malayalam, which denotes the land as well as the language, means ‘a country of hills and waves’.
The region is internationally renowned for Ayurveda, India’s 5000 year-old system of natural medicine; a system that is endorsed by the World Health Organisation.
In Kerala winter is normally October to January and the temperature drops a little. The weather will rarely rise above 32º; with a minimum temperature at sea level of 20º and so loose, light, comfortable clothing will be all that you need.
Ideal for...
The Hatha yoga classes, deep relaxation sessions and meditation instruction are experiential and uncomplicated. These methods are ideal for beginners as well as those who wish to ‘deepen’ their already established yoga practice.
People of all ages, body types, walks of life, professions and dispositions are welcome.
If you seek to maintain good health; incorporate relaxation for wellbeing; or restore equilibrium, then this tour is ideal for you!
You may like to know...
You may wonder why I called this tour “Land of 1000 Smiles”.
Well, when I first undertook this journey, I noticed that no matter where I went in Kerala, I was greeted by smiles from the young and the old; male and female; the poorest of the poor; and the ill and wounded.
I started to count every time someone looked up at me and gleamed with those big brown eyes and pearly smiles and I stopped counting at 1000. That was after only one week!
