Beginner's Hatha Yoga Classes & Courses

Information › Transformation

Is yoga on your to-do list?

Do you feel nervous about trying yoga?

Are you too anxious to go to a yoga class because you are not 'bendy' or coordinated and are fearful of appearing ridiculous?

Are you frightened of falling asleep or snoring?

You are not on your own!

Perhaps before you go any further you could read some excerpts from 'A Beginner's Journal' just so you can feel at ease and know that you and everyone else 'out there' feels pretty much the same.

A Beginner's Journal

And then, ask yourself these questions:

Would you like to be more:

  • Peaceful?
  • Purposeful?
  • Flexible?
  • Creative?
  • Straighter?
  • Happier?
  • Healthier?
  • Fun?

The Shanti Hatha Yoga method is gentle and soothing and at the same time powerful. For much of the class your eyes will be closed to elminate outside distractions, allowing you to turn inwards. For within us all is a sanctuary of peace and contentment. (That also means you will not be watching anyone else and they will not be watching you!).

Hatha Beginner’s Class

Ideal for anyone who has not tried yoga before.

You will learn about the foundations of the yoga physical practice and philosophy with emphasis on calming the body; soothing the mind; breathing well and enhancing your focus and self-awareness.

You will also build strength and flexibility and increase your energy levels.

People of all ages, body types, walks of life, professions and dispositions are welcome!

Come along and try! It's easy to get hooked because you feel so good!

'Yoga for Beginners' Package

Yoga for Beginners package

People often comment that they are ‘too inflexible’, ‘too unfit’, ‘too big’ or ‘too embarrassed’ to attend a public yoga class. And yet, those same people express their desire to be flexible and strong and how much they want to create a harmonious, serene and well balanced life-style.

Therefore, Cool Calm & Collected has introduced a ‘Yoga for Beginners’ package.  This program includes two 1½ hours private sessions ‘in your home’ or at The Yoga Studio in South Yarra; 10 additional classes at The Yoga Studio; written materials (electronic format); and subscription to the “In the Moment” newsletter.

The classes are gentle and nuturing.  The sessions comprise breathing (pranyama), yoga postures (asanas), deep relaxation (yoga nidra) and some of the key elements of the Hatha Yoga philosophy.

One of the many outcomes is that you will be able to continue your practice ‘with confidence’.

Call Annemaree on: 0412 616 787 for further package details.
